L337 Modifications Tue Dec 28, 2010 3:30 amSo I got Fallout: New Vegas at christmas which i was really excited about because of all the good reviews ive heard about it....so i load it into steam and wait for it to download....when its finished, boot it up get into about 20 minutes of game play and it lags for a bout 30-40 seconds, I think okay probably just the game rendering because of first boot. but then 2 minutes later it happens again....and again....and again, so i think fuck this and google the problem, after finding out that there is a ptach coming out soon to solve this i decide to get Prototype seeing as it is quite cheap ATM. But this also fucking lags -_- i google this aswell and i turns out that Windows 7 sucks ass. For some unknown reason it causes games to lag in this fashion. Just so i know my rant is for no reason....who else gets the problem or has had it?

Well I could see your problem. Its your Graphics Card Your Processor,Memory,ETC. Put a Reply your comp specs please. Ill check whats the prob.

Uhh Yea System Requirements for Fallout New Vegas: 2.0 Dual Core (Check)
3 gb ram yours useable 2.75 (Uncheck)
NVIDIA 6 Series (Check)
I'd Recomend Medium or Low Graphics because you dont have that much GPU so thats whats causing you to lag

but thats the problem haha. ive put it on the lowest settings and it still goes through this lag spike that lasts about 1-2 minutes but when i check the CPU usage and there is a huge spike that hits the roof! then drops to 0 then back to normal again -_-

I feel like such a idiot now -_- theproblem was, was that my PC was overheating. So I propped it up...... problem solved:D
